The NC Senior Driver Safety Coalition, formed in 2004, is comprised of an interdisciplinary group of professionals who are dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of aging individuals and their families across North Carolina. The coalition also serves as the North Carolina Executive Committee for Highway Safety (ECHS) Older Driver Working Group (ODWG) charged with recommending strategies for reducing traffic-related deaths and injuries in the state involving older drivers. The coalition is co-chaired by Kristel Robison and Elizabeth Pinyan of UNC's Highway Safety Research Center.
